Default 1994 Mustang. Help with paint selection

Hello my name is Zach I have a 1994 mustang 3.8. I recently took it to maaco and had it repainted. They did a horrible job and then said it wasn't under warranty. I was wondering what kind of pain would look the best. I am going to repaint it my self to insure it's to my standards.
It's also cheaper

Hiya, welcome to the site. Those Maaco jobs bite... There's lots of paint to choose from, this is really in depth. It'll really come down to what you want the finish to be like and your personal taste as well as your budget.

Welcome to the site. Have you ever painted a car by yourself?

Do you have a compressor and a good spray gun. And a place to paint it?

Yes I have the place to paint and the gun to spray and a 80 gallon compressor. I haven't painted a car but I am in the process of painting a cargo trailer. Any tips??

All I know is that good prep work makes for a nice paint job. Never painted one but have had friends that have and they tell me that Prep is the key.
