Default Clean Engine?

i have a 1983 stang with a v-6 and i was looking to clean up my engine somehow... i have this discoloration in my engine compartment and everything looks so dull and dirty, anyone know any tequniques to makeing an engine look cleaner...

I would just go to the auto parts dealer and by a good engine degreaser. Follow the directions and try not to squirt the electrical. Put a bag or something around the air cleaner. There is a sticky just above your post that can really help you.

I like to use Simple Green on older cars that haven't had regular TLC. Touch up paint, rubber conditioner and a wealth of scrub brushes.
