Default Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 on stripes

Does anyone know if Meguiar's NXT Tech Wax 2.0 will damage vinyl stripes? I haven't applied it to the car yet (July 4th weekend project) and normally I would wax the stripes along with the body, but there is a warning on the bottle that specifically states not to apply to vinyl!

OK, so I won't risk it, but I'm going to want to wax inbetween the stripes, and I know some is going to get on the stripe. Does anyone know if this stuff will really screw up the stripes? I test waxed one of my guitars with this stuff and it is amazing. I can't wait to see the shine it puts on the car, but I don't want to ruin my cool Le Mans stripage!

It should work just fine. No problems I would not think.

I used on mine without any problems. I found that Turtlewax ice did a better job.

Does Turtlewax Ice give you that same wet look type finish? How about durability? My experience is that Meguiar's Gold lasted longer than one of Turtlewax's standard products.

I hate waxing my car, but I gotta do it.

It was great on the stripes! Really gave my black stripes a nice deep shine.

that nxt wax is a waste of money...there regular formula does a better job...if you have not opened it yet take it back...i don't like the ice either...i found the eagle one nano wax to be the best.

Be more "pacific"! I want to know why it's not as good. Too late to take back this bottle. Are you saying there is still no substitute for elbow grease? These easy on, easy off products just don't last?

I have a weird color (Alloy) for showing gloss. Any of the silvers and greys can look almost flat even after they've been waxed, and one that makes it look wet should look good on this color, IMHO.

I'm going to answer my own question here. I just struggled with this wax, and I'm not too happy. I think the Gold Class is better, but I'm comparing two different cars. I put Gold Class on my last car which was an Acura, and it held up nicely and was moderately easy to buff off. This stuff streaked really bad, and really needed a power buffer to remove properly. And the sad thing is that I'm not seeing the "wet look" that they claim either!

Grey and silver cars are hard to wax anyway, but this car is only a year old and it shouldn't be hard to get a good solid shine. Back to Gold Class once this crap wears off (which should be before the end of summer I guess!)

I've been using NXT Tech Wax since it came out about 3 or 4 years ago and have never had a problem. I use the liquid and find that it goes on and comes off very easily. Sometimes wax is stored in high heat and gets old and dried out and may become hard to remove and leave streaks. I've used it on stripes with no problem. When they say not to use it on vinyl I think they referring to black vinyl that may turn white.
