Default clear coat seperating

Does anyone know what causes a clear coat coming off of the base coat after its looked fine for 5 years?

Can only think it's wear and tear as mine is showing the white primer through the panels low down where they get the worst of the weather

It sounds like the clear is cheap clear or the painter miss used chemical's. By that I mean for example he sprayed a laquer base coat, then used a urethane clear coat. Most paints now days are urethane (take it from me its my profession)

Also allot of other things can take effect. If it sits outside in the sun and weather every day. Or if it sits outside under a car cover. A car cover brushing against the corners and edges for years will make the clear coat peal. Car covers + out doors = real bad decision.

If you have taken care of it and treated it right then the only possibility is either cheap clear coat or premature paint failure due to mixing of chemical's that shouldn't be used together.
