Default How to remove glue

When I had a new head liner put in my Stang. Glue was later found on my upholstery. I have tried, nail polish remover, lighter fluid, gas. I cannot get this glue removed from my upholstery.
Any help would be appreicated.
TIA

That's some nasty glue. If it's not really noticeable, you may be better off leaving it alone. You don't want to ruin the upholstery in the process.

Before I share, please let us know what the upholstery is. Cloth? Leather? Vinyl? Etc. I dont want to share until I know because on some of those materials it will not work and will make it worse...

Regards,
Kieth

"try goo gone....."
+1

Thats your only chance for a home repair. Had you said anything else, I would have had some "last resort" suggestions. The problem with vinyl is --- most glues for the headliner are solvent based. When they land on the vinyl they "melt" into it and chemically combine - which basically means you are SOL if mild solvents like wd40 and goo gone dont work. The light fluid (naptha) is worth trying again, maybe letting it stay on a bit longer.

Another option would be a service for interior repair. Here in VA we have some companies like Color Fast and Color Back (as well as others) which can repair the vinyl (texture, color and all!) and have the repair be virtually invisible to the eye (depending of course on the service techs abilities). Im ashamed to say I once burned the dash of a Mercedes while soldering some wire - and Color Back fixed it. (LSS, was using another techs butane iron and it had exhaust on top and bottom - mine had ports on only the top, so you can imagine what happened...) Anyhow, after the repair you absolutley could not tell! But it also cost 300 bucks (out of my check! Argh!). How much is a spot or two worth to you, only you can answer...

Best of Luck!

Kieth
