Any Suggestions? Car Wax - Polish - Cleaners

This weekend I went out to buy some car wax and was overwhelmed by the number of products available. So I thought about starting a thread where folks can talk about the products they use to clean, shine, and protect our 'Stangs! Interior, exterior, tires, etc....

I ended up buying the new Turlewax Ice liquid polish. Its a synthetic polimer polish and I gotta say the stuff is super easy to use, it goes on very thin like water and doesnt dry to or leave a hazy residue... even if it gets on the trim it looks good.

Some time I would like to try it in a side by side test with Mequires NXT Tech Wax paste to compare the finish.

I also like the Mequires Quick Detail spray for a quick spray and wipe shine.

And the California Duster seems a decent product for dusting her off before heading out...

What is everyone else using for the ride.. how about the interior? ANd what should we use.

If you check out the pinned threads - you'll find lots of useful information here in Show and Shine...

I happen to use a few steps, I've outlined in a few threads here... and most of those steps include Poor Boys products and Obsessive Detail products.

Ditto on the California Water Blade.... I love it!

Tried a few cleaner/waxes and detailers in the last 4 years. So far I like the Mothers CARNUBA cleaner/ wax. I tried it a couple of times, car looked better. (It took me a while to realize the Mothers eliminated all the swirl marks). I have a black car, so you really can see the difference. I like GRIOTT's Garage detailre. It works well, it's easy and it DOESN"T attract dust.

Here is a review of the Turtle Was Ice product line... seems pretty much on the mark to me.

Mustangworld - Turtle wax ICE care care system

All in all I think the products work well, a little goes a long way, and are time saver.. I think what it comes down to, imo, is in what kind of shape is your vehicle to start with... if you have been on top of things or the car is already in good shape I think the Liquid Clay bar is fine. Easy to use, some elbow grease required, and faster than the traditional clay bar. If the car hasn't been done is some time or really needs a good "scrubbing" then the orginal clay bar is the better way to go.

Kinda the same thing with the Ice liquid wax/polish.. the stuff is easy to use and very forgiving (doesnt matter if it gets on the trim or not) but as Turtle Wax themselves say ... the Ice paste is more durable and protects better. Again if you stay on top of things then you could use the liquid just fine, if you drive a lot or have longer times between waxing then taking the extra time to use your favorite paste is the way to go.

For me I am contantly dusting and touching up the my car so the Ice liquid clay bar and wax are fine. I appreciate the ease of use and less time requirements.... and when followed up with my Meguires Quick Detail spray....the car looks great.
