Lanes Leather Scent - Yes or No?

Hey everyone,

My buddy has an '03 mustang with leather seats and he just got some body work done to it. When he left it in the shop, the interior began to smell like a body shop and it can get pretty annoying. So, I suggested getting an air freshener for that beast and he wanted to know if I thought a New Leather Smell would work well. The truth is, I've never used it before, but I figured maybe some of you guys have. If so, would you recommend it?

We found a product called Lanes Leather Scent and it's is actually spray-on, rather than something you would hang from your mirror. It seems like it may work, but I couldn't really tell just from staring at it on my computer screen.

Any help is appreciated!

Never used it. But I have this leather conditioner for my car and it makes the leather smell pretty good. You should buy it and let us know how it worked out for you and do a little product review.

Yeah, I use Meguiars Leather Care on my car and it smells good. I may just get him to buy it and see how it turns out.

I wouldn't go spraying cover up scents... it just gets all yicky smelling after a while... Jim's suggestion is great, also - I would air it out - leave the windows wide open and perhaps a shot of fabreze or something that will actually kill the odor causing bacteria...

{if you spray anything in the car, be careful where it is sprayed... }

Febreze leaves a really fresh clean scent. It'll get rid of those musty odors.

Id leave the wondows down and throw on some of the leather conditioner. It will help get rid of the body shop scent and plus i would recommend the leather condtioner anyways, helps it last longer. I use it once every couple months, my car still smells new.

Yeah, thats a great idea. I do the same thing to my car, so I probably should have just recommended that to him in the first place, lol. I think it makes the leather look cooler too, so thats another plus.

Lexol makes good cleaner and conditioner. They have a cleaner you can use first, then a conditioner to put on so you don't just keep building up layers of conditioner.
They keep the leather looking new.
