[Gotadime]

Hey everyone,

I've just recently installed some Red LED Interior Lights in my stang and I figured I'd share with you. This was a cheap and easy modification: $25.00 shipped and 5 minutes to install (literally). It really completely transforms the look and feel of your interior and I'm completely satisfied with this mod. I originally got the idea from a guy on the BAD Mustangs Club Forum. Below is his results picture. He must be better at holding the camera still than I am because I completely blurred every photo, lol.

Thanks. I'm pretty sure that those specific lights wouldn't fit your car, but if you purchased the right kind, they'd look awesome! Especially if you really have a well-themed interior.

lol ... see i'm broke .. i went to auto zone .. and picked up the exact replacement bulbs... that were RED !! lol .... still looks good !! just not quite as bright .. but hey , it was only 3 dollars for all 3 of the lights... and took 5 mins to install ... lol ...

Haha, yeah they're bright. They're not overpowering in any way though. I honestly could very comfortably drive with them on. If you had white lights this bright, it'd be a different story. But red is a lot easier to handle. In fact, it's quite enjoyable and adds a whole lot to the driving experience.

LED are the way to go. Blue bulbs are just not as bright as clustered LED bulbs. I bought Blue LED's for my mountaineer, i needed 9 different bulbs (it was a big truck....) but i had bulbs ranging from 4-7 LED's in the cluster and the car looked amazing from the inside and it set the mood as soon as you opened the door. Something has stopped me from touching the mustang's bulbs however. I kinda like the stock shade of light.

Well, they're in! I PM'd gotadime because I wasn't sure how to get the light covers off... and he told me to use a screwdriver...

My husband used one of those tiny flat head eyeglass screwdrivers to pry off the plastic lens and then because his fingers were too big, he used tweezers to pull out the lights...

The LEDs were a very cool idea... cheap, easy mod - we love them!
