I'm a new mustang owner. I was wondering what is the best way to keep the undercarriage clean/and how to clean it? Also to do an engine wash without damaging anything?
For under hood washing, use simple green in a spray bottle to nail everything, then mist it with the hose to wash it off. If you have a CAI, bag it first and don't forget to remove the bag when you're done. Be careful around the computer and don't nail it with water.

The computer is located near the front of the passenger's door right?
That is an electrical junction box. The computer is in the engine compartment on the passnger side, right up front. It sits vertically next to the rectangular fuse box. It's probably silver.
if you're cleaning the underside of the car, it shouldn't be an issue, but it's always wise to take precautions.
Also, when cleaning the engine bay, try not to soak the spark plugs. They sit deep in the heads and can hold a lot of water.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
