Unhappy Pine sap on vinyl convertible top

Any ideas? most of the physical amount of it is off my top now, but it still has left a few white spots and after i wash the car, they are very evident. Is there any chemicals that would be safe to use on the vinyl? Thanks in advance

Not sure how much this helps but rubbing alcohol is the best solution for pine sap... i've used that on every vehicle I've ever had and its never hurt the paintjob.. however, I'm not sure about the vinyl... lemme know if this helps?

Try WD40, believe it or not this will dissolve tar and gum without doing damage to the vinyl, I would not use it on a sfo canvas typr fabric top however. there is also a tar/gum remover at home depot and lowes called "Goof off", this will take off anything off, it smells like it will take paint off down to steel but does not hurt a thing.
