Default Waxing After Painting

My Mustang recently was repaired (deer damage). The RF fender was replaced, and the color was blended onto the hood, bumper, and drivers door. How long should I ideally wait to claybar and wax?

You don't need to claybar for a while. Wait at least a month to wax.

Thanks. That is going to seem like a long, long time. Oh well, I guess I can pay extra special attention to my 11 year old Ranger.

Yeah I've heard 30 - 60 - 90 days as well. With a brand new clear coat on part of the car I'd go with stlwagon and say wait 2 months. Plus, if you park your car in a garage everyday then wait 3 months.

If the paint was baked, maybe less. You just don't want to seal it while solvents in the paint are still venting to the atmosphere.

It is parked in a garage, but I put it outside on clear, sunny days facing the sun to let it "bake."

Just had my car painted ,get it back Fri.I asked the man that same question today,he told me that after he finishes buffing it he was going to wax it before I get it back. But I also have been told by diff. people in the past, 60-90 days depending on diff. variables.I guess there is something to be said for modern paints and bake booths, all I know is he did a KILLER job on my car and it looks awesome.
