Default Painting outside trim,1993 Mustang

My cowl vents are faded along with my mirrors and the trim above and below the windshield, the tri, that runs along the top of the door on my 93 gt. Can you sand and paint these to make them look better? Flat or gloss paint? Is so could you give me where you got the supplies. Any suggestions are welcome. I cant afford to buy new ones so please dont suggest. Thanks

I've seen some that were painted but don't know if you can sand them. I was thinking of painting my trim white to match the body color. I hope someone knows how this works too.

pretty funny as i am currently gettin my sons 95 lookin good for when he gets home from "the sandbox." i am using SEM trim paint on the plastic and metal trim. it is more of a satin finish, but looks great. if yu use it, sand with 600 or finer. the mirrors came out like new and the paint is a plearsure to use.
