Default Need Help! Custom Paint Idea Wanted!

I have a 1999 Mustang GT, It's in the shop right now getting prepped to be painted tomorrow, I'm putting a body kit on it at the same time as well. Right now I've decided to have a slightly metallic green paint over the whole car with a wide black stripe on each side between the curves in the side doors, fading into the front, as well as a black part on the hood where the ram-air intake would be if it was a Mach1, that is going to fade into the grill where it will be black, fading out to green for the rest of the car. My question is about the top and rear of the car, I was thinking of doing a solid black racing stripe down the middle from the beginning of the roof back to the bottom of the rear fender, but then their would be a small break between where the Ram-air intake scoop ends, and the windshield, and it would start again at the top. I realize this may be hard to imagine with all the terrible descriptions I gave, but if anyone has any ideas for it I am open to suggestions.

I love the way Mach1's look - your years, no doubt about it....

That's tough to do a stripe with the break between the ram air and windshield...... to me it might look incomplete...

Is that what you wanted an opinion on?

BTW - here is a 1999 GT since the OP doesn't have gallery pics....

I agree about that, I'm just trying to think of what to do instead. I really like the idea of the Ram-air part, but I think a stripe might look incomplete as well. I'm just not sure if it will look right if i put NOTHING there, or if I should do something on the rear bumber/trunk or hardtop other than a stripe.

Well, with your rides - to me, less is more... I happen to love your years...

I found this one and thought it was pretty cool... I know it's not what you are looking for but....

You have to do what you want... I wish others would chime in and give you some opinions, I know we have some people with great ideas here!!!

Well... being it's the day the car gets painted... Did you come up with any ideas?

yeah, the shop actually hasn't started painting it yet, but we decided on a fade in the front as discussed earlier, around what would be the RAM-Air scoop, down into the grill, and then out from the grill to the rest of the car, so the grill will look really dark, then the sides between the two groves on the door, and the fender accents will fade back over from green to black. and then I've completely nixed the stripe, but i'm going to do a slight black accent on the trunk around where the license plate will go. Unfortunately they may need to keep my car til saturday. Which i am VERY unhappy about.

I, for one, am glad you ditched the stripe idea, only because you want your ride to look "put together"....... Your final sounds really interesting!!! I can't wait for you to post up some pictures - it's hard for me to truly visualize it all...

Better they hang onto the car longer and do it right for you...

Let us know when you get your ride back!
