Default Paint Tragedy I need help fixing a scrape.

So fortunately i didnt scrape my mustang unfortunately i put a 1 foot and half scrape on my 07 maxima . Now the scrape is not a dent and its white because it got the paint from the other car stuck on mine. MY clear coat doesnt look like its peeled or damaged its just looks like a giant white line going accross the back unevenly. Does anyone know if maybe buffing it out will remove the white paint and leave my paint undamaged or???? im trying to figure out numbers because im kinda nervous of taking it to a shop and them quoting me $300 dollars to do it. Please help out im broke since i just bough the maxima.

That seems pretty strong to me, that would be almost like pooring straight vinagar onto your car which with the acid in vinagar doesn't sound like a good idea to me. maybe 1/4 vinagar to 3/4 water

I agree, when I had my Bronco - something swiped it and I was able to get the white marks off with lots of elbow grease... But boy - did I just about faint walking out to the truck when I saw those big white lines on dark blue...

Mothers Carnauba Cleaner Wax and a little finesse (not too much elbow grease, but take your time) works wonders.

Vinegar won't do a thing to a paint transfer problem -- you need a polish.

If cleaner wax doesn't work, try a product like their Scratch Remover, or a fine polishing compound. Avoid a rubbing compound, but if you resort to that, make sure it's safe for clearcoats and work gently.
