Default Scratched vinyl hood stripes

I have a Tungsten Grey Mustang with black vinyl stripes. It appears that the cat jumped on the hood when it was wet, started slipping, put out claws and scratched the stripes. The scratches went through the vinyl and to the paint. They aren't really noticeable, but they bug me. Is there anything I can do to fix this or is replacement the only option? Any way of melting the vinyl with maybe a hairdryer to smooth out the stripes?

I think you're sunk if it's through to the paint.

Well I guess replacement is my only choice. One issue though, the stripes that I had installed are the Ford Racing stripes. They are 3m though. I cant buy just a peice of the Ford Racing stripes, only the whole kit. Will black from a 3rd party stripe place be the same color?

It might be and then it may be a little lighter or a bit darker. If it bothers you that much just replace them.

I think the only choice that you have is get new
stripes and get rid of the cat and not necessarily in that order.

Check out ACI paint film they have a product that is actual paint film
