Default Turtle Wax Ice Instant Detailer Problem

I was running low on the Ice Detailer and ran to autozone last week and bought a replacement ... I ripped off a cardboard tag that was on it and got to work... Using the usual: clean microfibers - I sprayed the car and started wiping, and wiping - and - yes - more wiping.... It took me twice, if not three times as long to do my car... the wetness from the spray wasn't coming off the car, at all... lol

I thought, "somethings wrong here".... I used less spray - same thing.

So, I filed an email question on the turtle wax site - and it specifically says, do not make a follow up call.... we'll get back to you. Hmmmmm - No answer for 2 days (still no answer and we're going on 4 days...)... so I call them. The woman who answered the phone was polite but not wrapping her head around the problem... My boss was actually giggling because I told her the problem from 3 different angles... so she said "let me put you on hold and look up the solution in my book"... ooooooooooo k....

The solution - are you ready?? Sure? The solution is to spray water on the car and that helps wipe off the instant detailer. She was quick to rush me off saying "if that doesn't work, call back"... I don't think so.

I needed some detailer to hold me over until I can place an obsessive detail order - so I ran to autozone today.... where they were awesome as usual and gave me a switch-up.

Needless to say, when I walked over to see what the little tag said on the Ice Detailer bottle... it was a "New and Improved Formula....Extra Shine"

So, I'd be interested to know if you all are having the same problem!?

I had no problem with my new bottle of Maguires.

Spray water on it??? You may as well wash it again if you got to do all that. WTF?

She wasn't amused with my "If I wanted to wash it......." speech....
