Default best sealant or wax product to use on black spiderwebbed paint?

Been hearing alot about Zaino. Is Zaino that good in getting swirls and spiderwebbing out of black paint? What other products are excellent in removing swirls and spiderwebbing? I have been looking at Zaino's Z5 and Z2 sealant with the cureing additive so you can add multiple layers all in one day. But i want to look at other products out there before i purchase something. What is the best?

Well, one thing that I have had great luck with is 3M hand glaze. It doesn't actually have any wax in it. It's basically a cleaner/polish. It works great on the old 67's paint. It does however, like the ole' elbow grease verses the power buffers. After you get a small section rubbed in ( @ 3'X3' ), just buff it off with a clean towel. If for some reason, it is stubborn, just spray bottle some water on it and it comes right off. Use your favorite wax and in just an entire day....beeeaaautiful!...Seriously, it's a crap load of work but worth it. Hope this helps..later.

lol ~ I have to take a Saturday and do that "crap load of work"

Thanks for reminding me... it's been since the spring... it's time to do the whole clay routine all the way to seal...

A high grade polish should help with the swirls:

How to Remove Swirls from Your Paint

Products are all personal preference... that's why there are so many of them out there.
I use Obsessive Detail products - all of them of which, I am very, very happy with. Justin is excellent and will answer any questions you have, including telling you a full line up for your specific color.

From clay to sealant, you can't go wrong... although, warning - you're ride will look amazing - see my gallery, the fall pictures. It was cloudly out that day and the car glowed...

I think you will need to buff out the swirls and webing useing a good polish to get to a good surface clay bar is a must other products i like to polish is menzerna p010ff
If you want to use zaino ( my sealent of choice)
Wash with dawn Clay Bar polish with Z-pc wash with Z-7 2 coats Z-5 (Z-5 will fill some swirls) then top with Z-2 between coats use Z-6
top off in a day or two with Z-8 will last for 4-5 months good luck it's a good days work but your'll love the look

Well, don't keep us in suspense. What did you end up using and how did it turn out? I may have to change my choice of cleaners if your ride turned out amazing. Got any before and after pics? Later,

I ended up going with Poorboys. I used the Black Hole Glaze and the EX Sealant with carnauba. I put three coats of the Black Hole and followed that up with Five coats of the EX. Very easy to wipe on and off. It took most of the day because you have to wait 30-60 minutes on each coat of the EX. It covered about 60% of the swirls and spiderwebbing but did not take them completly out. I just wanted something that would cover them up for shows. Not really bothered about getting a buffer and buff them out because as soon as you wash your vehicle a couple of times and wax it again they come right back. Poorboys is a pretty good product but would be even better if you had a buffer if you wanted to take them completly out. It did what i wanted it to do! The EX does make your paint more glossy and shiney.

Maintaining a black car is HARD work.

Simple fact: It will show tiny defects in the surface worse than any other color.

If you have to drive the car everyday and park it outside, you just have to find a middle ground you can live with - or sell the car, LOL.

The best way to wash your car to avoid swirl marks is the two bucket method one bucket of car wash soap and a rinise bucket always use lots of soap and water and a grid gaurd would help use one towel for your car and another for your wheels most swirls come from when you dry your car I use a leaf blower to dry then wipe dry with a fresh new towel i use only 100% white cotton made in usa only outside of the usa they have contaments in them never use something from china never reuse your wash/dry towels without having them washed in the washing machine good luck with a black car hope this helps
