maaco uses a product called liquid sand or sand in a can to prep their paint jobs it is A horrible product if you want lasting results and if you dont specify the repairs wanted they will spray over a 2 foot rust hole if given the chance and i have seen it done and if they do the repairs it is at a major extra charge. my father owns a body shop and i have seen multiple cars and trucks come to him for a new paint job after maaco problems.

Maaco= paint job, cough cough...

I have a Laser Red GT, I used Maaco once on a silver mustang, and once is all it took.

I'm in the process of putting a factory color back on my 93 GT,white, (not tri-color like Laser Red), and it's still $7,000.

But it's not a paint job, it's a work of art, at this point.
