Question Paint protection film?

Hey everyone, I was just wondering if you have ever used any paint protection film such as 3M Scotchgard Paint Protection Film. My 70 coupe has some serious stone chips in the rear quarters and I dont want that to happen to my dads 68. Any experience/suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jim

We have used it before and its a booger to put on but it does help in preventing rock chips and whatnot, just find a good installer and a good product to use, ask if they warranty it against yellowing over time. other than that it is some pretty good stuff. Llumar film makes a good one, and we use one from Enpro Distributing that has worked out well.

Default yes it works but get the good stuff

I have the 3m product on my car and it works very wall. It was a bit pricey but I think it was worth it to avoid all the rock chips. Make sure to apply to body seam/fold lines so that it does not stand out as much... yes you can see it once it is applied. The better product will also let UV light through so that you do not have a paint discoloration when the product is removed later.
