2004 V6 3.9L Mustang needs striping and new Cold Air Intake. Tell me what you think!
I want to add some exterior styling to my 2004 Mustang. My Mustang is a dark red (almost a maroonish color), and I am planning on putting white racing stripes, white rocker stripes, and either white vinyl insert bumper letters or stainless steel (with a mirror like finish). What are your opinions on the quality of vinyl stripes, and whether I should get white vinyl insert bumper letters or stainless steal insert letters? I was also wondering if anyone knew if this cold air intake (Mustang V6 Cold Air Intake Kit at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping!) would work on a 2004 V6 3.9L Mustang...? it works with the 3.8L for sure, but I'm not sure about the 3.9L..? Thanks for the help!

I agree the white vinyl lettering looks very good with white stripes.. but then I found the stainless steal bumper inserts for a good price, and it got me thinking that they might look good also. I can't decide. The thought of the stainless steels being better quality plays in on the decision also.

Well, white stripes coupled with the white lettering from your other thread would be a great combination. The stainless lettering would look OK, but when teamed up with white stripes, the white lettering would be killer.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.
Thanks very much for your input! one other question: if I go with white lettering, what is your take on white letting that reflects light at night compared to just plain white lettering?
and does anyone know about the CAI I posted about above? Thanks again!

The one you posted is ok but I'd rather trust a brand name of you want the full potential of a CAI for your car...BBK Cold Air Intake (99-03 3.8 V6) at AmericanMuscle.com - Free Shipping! This BBK one seems a little more trustworthy imo and its only 100 bucks more. Either way you will be getting performance.

Had I not already ordered the first CAI I posted, I would have definitely put that into consideration. =D Thanks for the advice tho!

Did that CAI work for your 3.9 JDank?
I found one that came highly recommended for only 140 dollars at AtomicPerformance.com. I just ordered it and I'm hoping it works out haha. I also have a 2004 3.9 so I'm in the same boat with you partswise.
I have the Candy Apple Red mustang as well and I'm going all out silver with stripes and what-not. I got the stainless steel inserts and they look great. I'd go with silver unless you already started white.
