undercarriage lights and inside floor lights... rice or nice?
hey guys, i was wondering if it would be rice or not if i put undercarriage lights outside and floor lights on the inside of the car. i mean i dont wanna light up the entire neighborhood, but the interior would be somewhat of a safety issue (when its dark i dont feel the interior lights do enough) and the outside lights would just be showoff, and maybe finding my car in a crowded parking lot... i got a 2005 ford mustang GT convt.
i might do inside the car, because i feel that when i open to door it is no where near bright enough to actually see anything when its dark outside, and when i unlock my doors remotely, the interior dome light comes on, i cant see it from 20 yards away, STARING at the car! when i unlock it, no flashing lights, no noise nothing to say HEY IM OVER HERE!!! hate to say it i love my mustang, but i do happen to misplace it when i go to down and park at walmart, circuit city or some other busy parking lot where theres like 3 exit doors... i just wanna be able to find my car... when i had my beater, i was thinking bout installing a siren with a spinning couple million watt light... that would catch my attention... but not my new car.
i agree, i don't want to take away from the look, and its not like im going to choose an off the wall color anyways, ill probably stick to a white light or something along those lines, it wont be a pulsing light or anything. they give me headaches just thinking bout them. but is there also any way to rig the car to flash its lights when u unlock it or anything like that?
yeah, most likely ill just do the lights in the interior for the most part, because that irritates me the most. still considering the exterior...
Well first you should check your states laws. I'm pretty sure underglow is illegal in all states, even glowing license plates. It might just end up being more of a hassle than anything for you. I said this in another thread but I'll say it again, its a mustang not a Christmas tree, it doesn't need to be lit up like one. Ricers put lights on their cars because they look like crap and no one would look at them otherwise. Then when people laugh at them they think they are checking their cars out and their ego inflates. Theres so many better things you can buy for a mustang.

even if it started as a ricer thing, every time I see undercarriage lights on a car I take notice and appreciate the look it gives the car.....each to their own......I'd love to see an old lady in a big caddy with lights under her car.....bumpin down the road
