Opinions about winter storage on a concrete floor!
I will be storing my car in my garage from the 1st of Dec to April/May or as soon as the sand is off the streets. My questions is this... Should I be concerned about moisture coming from the floor and is it enough to cause future undercarriage rust?
As of today, the only time I have driven in the rain was for about 3 hours back on the first week of Nov '07. On my way home from Ohio, when I bought my car. So undercarriage rust would tick me off.
I am considering buying some sort of flooring or "Pad" to park it on that is made of moisture resistant material.
Do you think the heat under the engine at full temp may be a problem?
Although I may not reply to all opinions, I appreciate everyone's input... So Thank You!
I doubt that would cause much of a rust problem. You could also just lay down some heavy duty plastic such as visqueen. The main enemy is saltwater, and since you won't be driving it, that would't be an issue.

Such a sad time of year, aint it? I drive my 66 till they sand/salt the first time, then she's in the garage till spring. I don't think moisture from concrete will be trouble for you, but I'm no expert. Maybe throw some of those desicate pails in the garage to see how much moisture they collect before you invest in the floor padding. Not a bad idea to get some for the interior either.
