Unhappy Bird Mess leaves stain on Vinyl Stripes?

Ok so I washed my car about a week ago and then two days after some birds decided to use my car as a target anywho one of their bombs landed on my vinyl and it was there for about three days ish and i have not waxed over my vinyl btw I haven't had time. Anyway I just got done washing it and I can still see a faded spot where the bird left its mark.. did this sh*t eat away the gloss in my vinyl? and then after washing and trying to get it off i took a microfiber towel the super soft one and went over it lightly to see if it would pick up a little andd it didnt and I can see little swirls now in the vinyl did I screw up the gloss finish with that too? I'm so mad right now I want to kill every bird around here and punch myself if I did damage it. So please say I'm crazy and it'll go away

Bird crap is like acid. the longer you leave it there the deeper it eats. I don't know about the vinyl. Mine gets bombed it seems like either every day or just after I wash it. I remove it as soon as I see it. Hope you can get it fixed

My car gets bombed literally 2 hours after i wash her. I just take a little water and paper towel and clean it up as best i can. Because if i wash the whole car again, she is just going to get bombed by the same damn bird

Try some turtlewax ice (clear spray) wax. That should help.

Ice is available at most any worthwhile auto parts shop. Nothing is illegal until you get caught.

LOL then maybe I'll just invest in a long range tazer or a compound bow and just get reallyyyy good. They don't make noise so that should prolong my hunting season

Bird and bug mess is a problem here in NJ...

Keep a small crate in your trunk with microfibers and instant detailer... when you see a present left for you - clean it off as soon as you spot it... don't let it bake on the car or stripes.

I have a slingshot and if you go to the craft store, they sell these little wood balls that won't hurt your car if you have one come back down. Marbles and ball bearings... not so much. Also I don't want to kill the bird but I do want him to never, never come back.

Somthing about the white stripes on my Vert makes the birds go wild, its especially had to get it of a Cloth Top!

I have some stains on my stripes, not from birds, i think its water damage. Anyway, one guy on the forum whos a Vynl expert as a biz recomended "Mineral Spirits", its tough stuff yet gentle enough not to ruin your stripes, i would give that a shot. Use in small amounts at first because it is powerful, i diluted it 50/50 with water. I did not get my stains out but it did remove the lighter stains.

Good Luck
