I'd use microfiber cloths instead. My mom bought some and I washer her 06 civic with them. Just drying the car put scratches in the clear coat. They are junk if you ask me.

I heard they leave lint all over the car, that alone turn me off. More work no thank you! I love microfiber towels full size and small ones!

I've never had the pleasure of trying out a shamwow! I've seen the commercial - my husband pointed out poor editing - which leaves me hesitant about the job they do...

Try it out on someone elses car and report back!!

LOL My girlfriend said the same thing as your husband. When he pours the soda on the piece of carpet and it spills onto the table then they cut to the next scene and magically the table is all cleaned of soda and hes like wow look at all the soda this took up lol.

Plus that guy looks like he just shot smack into his eyeballs, so I'm not sure I'll be buying anything he is pushing lol.

They do leave lint all over the car. My dad had some I washed his car and used them. Lots of lint. I only use the micro fiber towels.

I use Absorbers you can get them for like $8 at Autozone, they work good for me, but after 2 times drying the car off I toss it just because I feel like its time for a new one. lol

They do leave alot of lint, plus after you use them 5 or 6 times they smell like someone dried off their feet with them. Stick with microfiber.

The problem with the 'Wow's is that their design traps dust in the nap, and as they are used this dust can scratch.

To avoid this you really need to get them clean to start with and KEEP them clean during the process.

I too like the microfibre for this chore.

I just buy lots of micro fiber and use the heck out of them. I change them often while washing or waxing my car.

I use the absorbers as well. They come in a tube and work great...just have to keep them clean and keep them in the tube when your done and they wont leave any scratches. I use microfibers to take off wax or quick wax, never really used to to dry off the car though. Dont it take a lot of them to do this? I never really thought they abosorbed water very well, but they are very paint friendly.

I have 2 large "uber absorbant" micros that I used to dry the car off, and it really only took 2... maybe wring one out... but micros worked good... I have, however, bought the California Water Blade and do the bulk of my drying with that and use the micros as the finishing touch around the areas the blade didn't get or that I missed...
