Default Stripe Decals

My car came with some stripes along the bottom of each side, they are gold and I want to maybe get some blue ones and add some blue racing stripes, is it easy enough to do yourself - peeling them off won't mess anything up will it?

I was hoping someone with more knowalge would have jumped in here before now. However, I will take a stab at this.

When we removed the side stripes off my 95, it was a long and time consuming job. Everything looks great now, but it did take a few hours. We used a heat gun to heat up the tape, and slowly peeled it back.

Like I said it was a few years ago we did this, and I had some help. Check with a local body shop to see what they have to say.

Check with the local sign shop that does vinyl graphics. See if they will give you some remover or just purchase 3m adhesive remover and then use the 3m sticker remover. You can buy the removers at NAPA. Use a heat gun also to help soften up the vinyl as Ron said, and be careful not to get to close to the paint with the heat gun.

Most of all...be patient!

Hal

seeing how the stipes will not be able to be used again no point in being to careful with them. what i did was just use a blow drier on the end than then just pull them back. if it keeps ripping just heat the whole thing, then to get the stickey goop off of the paint just use some good ole goof off (can get anywhere). it will take anything off. total time can take 15 minutes.
