Default Paint chipping!

The paint right under my driver and passenger side windows are chipping straight down to the primer and I didn't do anything to cause it. Is there any factory recalls on this problem? By the way its a 2000 convertible v6.

Ugh! I have little chips on my hood, thanks to all the tractor-trailers on 285.
Have you tried touch-up paint? Maybe it could help it from chipping any worse..

well the problem is that it really isn't small little nicks it is peeling. I never did a thing for it to start this, it must be a factory defect or something. I don't think touch up paint can help me here.

Ouch! Yea, I don't think touch up paint will help to much.
Ever use some type of glass cleaner on the outside of the windows?
Maybe the extra trickled down and sat there for awhile?

Default Argh

I have the same problem. First day i got my mustang i was 200feet behind a tractor trailer.. i SAW the piece of gravel coming in slow motion. It hit just in front of the air intake and took a 1/2" spot out which has continued to spread no matter what i do. The touchup paint helps for a bit but i thin the air is so intense there whenever theres rain or anything it just eventually picks it off. I was just going to pain the hoold ($285) but have spots on the front from road wear and seems silly not to try to fix it all at once when i can. Im even considering buying an HVLP touchup gun and some base/clear paint and fixing it all myself as i cant afford a $1500 paint job right now especially when it looks like the same would happen again. If i were you id suggestusing some kind of decals to cover it and contain the damage or sanding it down and repaintiing it myself if you cant afford to have it repainted.
