Default PowderCoating 06GT valve covers

I'm getting my valve covers powdercoated, and have taken them off. I've taken all the plastic pieces off, but was wondering about the baffle that covers the breather tube on the driver's side. It has a small (silicone/rubber?) gasket where the tube goes into the baffle and also it sounds like there is a rattle valve of some sort inside the baffle.
So my question is, will the 400 degree temps melt the gasket or screw up whatever kind of valve is inside the baffle. Does anybody know what I'm taking about? It looks like many people have done this, but I just want to make sure it doesn't hurt the breather system. Thanks

i am not sure about the damage to the valve you are referring too....

but i do know you need to remove anything you think will melt @ 400*

trust me it will make a major mess of the finish product....

You need to remove that. That is the PCV valve.

I don't know if it's a PCV type valve, but if you shake the cover (passenger side) it sounds like there is something rattling in there. The baffle on the inside of the covers are riveted in, so it isn't like I can take it out. I called Steeda, and FRPP and they said they get stock replacement covers and have them powdercoated as is. So if that's true then the baffle and all must already be riveted inside.
I dropped my covers off today at the shop, so when I get them back I will see if it still has a rattle. Thanks for the input.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

Your fine, I powder coated mine and left them in place, no damage at all.
