Default Multiple scratches on hood, best tip to remove

Hi,

I'm new to the forum but I've had my mustang for almost a year now. It's a 2008 V6, well a few months ago me and my ex-girlfriend were hanging out at night at my grandparents ranch. It started to get cold so I turned my car on and we laid on the hood. Neither of us were wearing anything that metal on but the next morning I noticed there were scratches on the hood.

I'm not sure what is the best way to remove them. When I wash the car, the scratches go away but reappear immediately once it's dried. My car is in really great physical condition except that hood. I'm considering trading in my V6 for GT and I found one that looks exactly like my 6 but is manual and a V8. But before doing so I want a good trade in value.

Thanks in advance!

First, welcome to the Forum!
You may want to take a peek in the show and shine section. If the scratches are just in the clear coat, you may be able to polish them out with a clearcoat safe polish.

There is a product called Quixx High Performance Paint Scratch Remover. Available at WalMart in wax section, around 15.00. It works. Best scratch remover on the market. I'm not going to get into a long reply, but this stuff just works. Google it up and read about it.

i know this sounds crazy but if they are bad you can actually take sand paper and even them out then use meguires diamond 2.0 cut polish and buff it the scratches will come right out!!!

We do not recommend using sandpaper unless you are highly experienced and well versed in paint.
