Default wheel polishing tips?

i have the optional 18inch polished wheels on my 06 and i was wondering how to polish them to a high shine. there are so many products out there and i dont want to spend alot of money trying out all different brands.

I'm pretty sure those wheels are clear coated so you'd have to remove the clear coat before polishing them. Much easier said than done.

I use car wax on the wheels. It works good and protects them like the paint. Just remember to use a different polishing pad or towel so you don't scratch the cars paint later because there could be dirt and whatnot on the wheels.

I have the same wheels with the coating. They clean real easy.Be careful what you put on them.It may harm the clear finish. To get a real bright shine, you would have to remove the clear.

06281GT, If you have the same 18's I have then there is not a clearcoat. Please post your results, mine are starting to show some signs of wear as well.

I have the optional 18's polished aluminum and I have been told by multiple people to not use anything abrasive because of the clearcoat.
