Default Need some advice about waxing & swirl marks

Hi everyone! So after some careful reading here I decided to try the Meguiars ScratchX 2.0 stuff for some scratches on my car. It worked fairly well, however in the sunlight I can see the areas where I polished out the scratches. (Kind of a swirl/ reflective area) Whats the best way to fix this? Should I wax it? Washing didn't get rid of it. If wax, what is the best method to applying it as I haven't ever waxed my stang before. Do I need to remove any residual wax? Any tips are appreciated! Thanks!

I first have a question.

Did you use a buffer?

I know using a buffer on a car can create swirl marks. I have a black car and made that mistake one time now I wax the car by hand. This includes putting it on and taking it off.

In the past when I had this problem I just used a product called Black Magic and it worked the bestwaxed by hand). You can get it from a paint store.

No I didn't use a buffer, I put some of the scratchx on a microfiber cloth and applied it by hand. And black magic you say? Do you use the black magic carnuba wax or that spray wax?

Sorry, I was wrong it is called Black Pearl Final Finish By Car Brite. The one is number 5. It is a squeeze paste wax. Sorry about the wrong name.

Try a clay bar after a wash and put a good coat of wax on her. I get those marks mostly when I really need a wax job.
But after I clay barred and waxed she was great, I have pics in my gallery how perfect the shine was

The key to a great shine is in prep like white angle said clay bar the whole car you can not do just sections ( it will show ) When you apply wax do not use circular motions but apply it as the air would flow when car is moving hood front to back and fenders front to back no round and round The time to check for swirl marks is after you clay bar use a good polish to remove them before you wax

the clay bar is great if you feel any roughness on your paint. best stuff ive found so far for waxing is meguiar`s deep crystal 3 step system. comes in red bottles, about 5-6.00 each. step one is a cleaner, step 2 is a polish, step 3 is carnauba wax. it makes my torch red look like glass. micro fibre towels too. this was days after i waxed it, not even clean still havent used the wax yet on the scoop, paint is still curing

best way to get rid of swirl marks is to use a produst like Zymol Polish and Swirl Mark Remover , its finer than scratchX. you dont apply in a circular motion but rather a back and forth motion with light pressure.
