i would never use dishsoap~1!!! why would you just use some car wash soap.

so actually if you want to strip the wax & start over then dish soap would be a good choice. I may try this in the spring

Yes it works but if you want to start all over then clay bar system would do the same thing.

Dish soap is terrible for clear coat. You should never use it.

If you don't want to use actual car soap, J&J baby shampoo is ok to use on your car.

Its bad if you do it often and never put wax on top of it. Like many have said, it works well to strip any wax off your car. Yesterday I washed my car with dishsoap because I was clay bar'ing and waxing afterwards.
I would say never wash with dishsoap more than once a year, but never doing it would be preferable.
