how to get spots off hood?

I left my stang outside for five days because i wen away with the military, i washed my car today and there was water marks where the dirt was all over my hood. any advice to get rid of them?

A good detail spray or a claybar job. I had the same and swirl marks, the claybar lifted them both leaving a finish like glass, ther are pics in my gallery!!

If you have never clay bared the car this would be an excellent time to do it. You will be amazed at the way the paint feels after you finish. But then after that you must Polish and wax the car because the clay bar strips the wax off the car.

Spray cleaner may take care of the water spots but if not you are going to have to clay bar.Leave plenty of time cause once you start you are going to want to do the whole car ( if you never clay bar now would be the time) May help to know what wax you use on your car now.

I have water spots all over the roof of my stang, I just tried the clay bar method with meguires and they are still there

. I was thinking about using meguires 1st step process "paint cleaner" to get them off..anyone tried this before? also what would you recommend if the clay bar didnt work?

The clay bar should take care of it I have heard of people using some type of of vinegar to try to cut through. But I had done a couple of friends cars with some pretty bad water spots on them and the clay bar has always taken them off.

You may be into the clear coat with your water spots , if i were you i'd go to a good detail shop show them what you have and pay them to take care of it. I think they will need to buff it out if not more well worth the money to be done right. Good luck
