Default How do i Protect and extend the Life Of a Mustangs Convertible Top

Anyone have any suggestions on products to use on convertible tops that work to protect and maybe offer a little shine.

After reading online tonight I keep seeing a product called Meguiars Mirror Glaze #40 Vinyl & Rubber Cleaner / Conditioner with UV Protectant that looks pretty good.

he wants to know the same answer your looking for, but he does not want to make a new thread that says the same thing, so will use yours for his gain.

Ahhhhhh Hopefully someone around here might have some info for us. Mine has a new top so I'd like it to last as long as possible, which now has me wondering what the life span of a convertible top is. I'm really not sure though if there's much else we can do besides to just put on a quality UV vinyl or cloth protectant and keep it out of the elements as much as possible.

Me and two other people just spent all day last week, cleaning out my over-sized 2 car garage for the home coming of the mustang. It's bedroom is definitely going to be the garage . I've got 4 vehicles and it's the only one that gets a bedroom.

I use 303 Cleaner and 303 Protectant, this was recommended by the owner of a local top shop that swears by these products. I bought my '97 in 2004 and it still has the original top which is in good condition (except for one worn spot near the driver's side rear window). I've taken good care of the car and top (always in the garage unless I'm driving the car), but the previous owner apparently took pretty good care of the car and top too.
