Default Removing Dealer stickers and emblems

Hi all, bought an '09 black Warriors In Pink Mustang with the glass roof for the wife and we're showing it at the 45th. How do I safely remove the dealer stickers from the trunk lid?

I bought the car 6mos. old used from a private seller otherwise I would have insisted the dealer not apply or remove any stickers like I did with the Escape i bought new in '05.

Luckily they didn't drill any holes in the front bumper for a dealer front plate as I don't have to have a plate on front.

Any tips for the best wax for a black car?
Thanks, Jon

A hair dryer and some goo gone should do the trick.

Ok, thanks, that's the best I could think of = hair dryer to remove the sticker then the goo gone for the glue. Just checking to see if there was a better way or if the hair dryer might damage the paint, I'll slowly move closer until the sticker gets soft and scrape w/ a plastic putty blade I guess.

Actually I'm the lucky one, I bought her the car for being a breast cancer survivor, just happened to find it, only one I could find for sale in the country.
The WIP model is a special edition Ford built and donated $500 for each car to the Susan G. Komen foundation. I found out they only made 199 in '09, white, silver or black (all premium V6). Have no idea how many were ordered with the glass roof. I drove 7hrs. one way to buy it and back. Chicks dig this car....more than my '67...
Look for us in Birmingham!

Try using Adams' Polish products for your car Adam's Polishes

I was a Meguiars fan until I tried Adams' Polish products. No, I'm not a dealer or distributor, just someone who likes to have all of my cars clean & polished at all times.

Absolutely a beautiful car, congratulations to you both for more than just the car!!

Everyone pretty much has their own opinions on wax and polish - I moved you over here so you can check out this section... lots of stuff here.

As for removing the sticker - you've got some advice from our members ... some also use hot soapy water... soak it - and peel... depends on sticker life.

Thanks Judis, I've been on the Classic side of the forum for a year and didn't know there was a show&shine subforum, that's what I was looking for initially.

'you cant pick up chicks in ur wifes BC car hehe'
I know, I know but it's funny to me how my '67 attracts guys and this car does the opposite. Came out of 2 state reststops going through NC and TN and at both had a collection of 4-6 teens > 20's yo girls taking pics with their cell phone and saying 'I love your car'.
Much nicer than coming out to the '67 and finding a guy with a beer and mullet asking "that got a V8 in it?"

An awesome gift... just be careful taking off the sticker.
I'd use a hairdryer and goo gone.. be careful of scraping.

Also one friend of mine used peanut butter to get the goo off... don't know why that worked but it did!!

Careful balance using the hair dryer!!

Peanut butter - like a mild abrasive to get the goo off... very interesting!!!
