Default Help with wax!

Hey, ugh, i know this isn't about mustangs or anything but i figured maybe some of the guys on here could help me out.. I've been waxing my dads boat for the past couple of days and today i was working on the top half of the boat. Its kinda a big portion. Well i waxed it all on and then the sun popped out and it dried up real fast.. Its so hard and dry rite now i can't get it off. Is there any tips or ways i can buff it off? Worse comes to worse i guess i'll have to scrub it all off and use that color restore crap thing that goes on before the wax so i can wax it again. Thats gonna take forever.. Any thing i can do? Thanks

i tried using a damp terry cloth before and it didn't really work. I'm just gonna get some hot soapy water and wash it off.

i tried using a drill with a buffer bit thing and it didn't work. I tried washing it with hot soapy water and it still didn't really come off unless you scrubbed the crap out of it.

Hey, if it has clearcoat on it don't buff it. You take the clearcoat right off.

I've had similar situation happen and found that if you re-apply the wax (especially liquid wax) over a small area at a time, and don't let the re-apply get quite dry, it will remove the hardened prior application.

Try that.

If you need a decent wax in a hurry, I used Meguiar's Gold Class liquid. Or, if you can find it..the best stuff I've used is the 3M Professional Series..like Hand Glaze or Show Car finish. Both are very good products and 3M is known for the quality in paints and finishes.
