Pinstripe Removal?

My 94 GT came with pinstripes. They have seen better days and are starting to come off (when I hit them with the hose they peel / flake off)I can get the stripes off, but they leave behind a glue residue. Has anyone had any success in removing pinstripes? I was thinking of using a bug / tar remover and then a clay bar to freshen up paint. Any ideas?

My Mustang came with pinstripes. I peeled them off and they too left a glue residue. I washed my car then used a paint cleaner/wax stuff I found and it took the residue right off.

goof off/goo gone, will take care if it for ya

The goof off worked like a charm along with a little"elbow grease" It took about an hour ot remove them, looks much better . Thanks.

3M adhesive remover will work also its a spray application and is fast with less elbow grease.
