Default Just use the Cal Duster for the 1st time.

The california Duster. I have been hesitant to use this in fear of my car getting scratched.

But let me tell you, if you dont have one of these you are missing out. My car is black so you can imagine the pain in the backside to keep this car clean. But I used it and the car looks great!

I used to have one but I always thought it would scratch my car. That dirt or dust what ever is on your car gets picked up with it. And the next time you use it there it is. My car is garaged every day so if it gets a bit dusty I bust out the detail spray and spiff it up.

I use mine constantly. The trick to not scratching your car is to just drag the duster over the surface. Don't ever push down. It's the downward pressure that will scratch the paint. Hold the handle so the mop just touches the car. No pressure - no scratches. I use the duster, then follow up with instant detailer.

OK, so I've added a few things to it. Check my Profile - too many to list here.

Wash it in a kitchen sink full of water and a teaspoon of Dawn Dishwashing soap, the hand washing kind, not the machine kind.
Swish it around and lightly massage it with your hands. Then rinse it out very very well. Shake out the excess water and hang it somewhere to dry for a day. You could also run it through your dryer on air fluff for a bit, if you can stand the clunking noises.

It'll be good as new. Inspect it for bugs and trash tangled up in the fibers before using it again.
