Default Cleaning the 2010 Mustang

I just bought a new 2010 Torch Red Mustang V6 with the Pony Package. I have been waiting a long time to get a Mustang and it finally worked out.

As you all know, the 2010 Mustang has alot of plastic on the exterior. The bottom of the rear bumper and the bottom of the doors. I don't mind the plastic, I actually think the black makes a great contrast and helps out the overall look of the machine. What is the best stuff to use to keep a high gloss on the plastic. Armor All or something like Ice. There is alot of black trim on this thing and I want to keep it looking good for years to come.

Thanks in Advance.

What no pictures?

I have used both Turtlewax ice liquid and Zaino on the plastic trim.
I recommend them both.

Congratulations on the new ride!! I just saw one up close tonight at the local car show...

There are a ton of products to help keep the black nice and shiny... Pete posted a few that will be helpful and I use Poor Boys Trim Restorer to keep my black looking shiny...

Most importantly... read all products you use on your car. If it says "Do not let product overspray on black or trim surfaces..., etc" listen to that... once you do - you'll always have a problem... and post some pics!!

Good luck with the new car Frist let me say claybar the car it will make it night and day. Make sure whatever wax you use will not leave white on trim, you may also want to check out a few detail forums for help. My wifes car is a mkx so I think the plastic is the same i use zaino on mine but wasn't that shiney so switch to meguir's hot shine tire spray bit more shine last long but not a high gloss not sure you will like it with a high gloss

FYI: I found this great product online that you can use for trim and it works to restore it back to the black or grey color if you get wax on it or just to make it look new again its called ( Pig Spit the Swine that shines )detail spray, you can find it at pig spit.com ( Note it says its for motorcycles not to worry it works for cars too ), and it works great I use it on my engine parts after cleaning and makes the parts look like new again as well and doesnt attract dirt like other products.

Thanks for all the responses! Sorry I am late getting back, but I was away on business travel and such. Attached is a quick photo of my new ride. I just love almost everything about it.

I tried the ICE product and it does great!

Thanks.

If not already you will want to tint your windows to help protect the leather and condition it at least twice a year.

Nice Ride.

Turtle Wax Ice polish works well on the plastic parts. I also recommend Mother's Back to Black.

Get yourself a bottle of Quick Detailer, like Meguiar's, and some microfiber cloths. If you are anal about keeping your car clean (and that's a good thing ) then you will find the detailer invaluable.
