Default "SALEEN/ROUSH/COBRA..." Name Etiquette

So in general I'm against 'branding' your vechile to be something it was not manufactured as.. i.e. putting cobra embles and logos on your V6 or GT (not supercharged or factory) mustang...

But what's the consenses on this? I ask only because I plan on putting a Saleen Stlye body kit on my GT, I found a good urethane one from someone at a good price, but it's got "SALEEN" on the bumper.. I by no means have a SALEEN and don't intend on making a SALEEN CLONE. Just wondering if it's taboo or not..

I guess if you put a Roush or Cobra engine in your GT you can use the name/icons with validity...

Go with the body kit but keep your gt emblems on. That is how I would go about it. Good choice on the body kit that is my favorite I also think even if you do an engine swap you should not put the emblems on your car. It was made a gt so you should leave it a gt. That way it can be a sleeper too

Yeah, I def like the idea of a sleeper, and really one of my goals, I'm considering taking off the emblems all together just to make people wonder..

You can have your "Saleen" filled in and painted over? With Bondo? Just my $.02!

We have a lot of Mustangs out here that are like that. And some that are really good replica's. I do not mind it. But sometimes these guys try to pass them off as the real thing. That I do not care for. Just tell us what you have.
