Default What kind of polish should I be using after wet sanding?

I was planing to remove some clear coat scratches with some 2000 grit sand paper and then use my random orbital buffer with some of turtle wax's "polishing compound." But is this product abrasive enough to bring back the shine after wet sanding?

Here's the product: http://www.canadiantire.ca/AST/browse/4/Auto/CarWashingCleaning/CarPaintCare/PRDOVR~0391021P/Turtle%2BWax%253F%2BPolishing%2BCompound.jsp

You may want to call a body shop and ask them if you are not getting any response from any one on here.

Since you're wet sanding the clear coat, it'd be better to use the polishing compound rather than something too abrasive and get into the base coat. You have to be ultra careful not to go too deep so use the milder polishing compound over a rubbing compound.

You need to use a cut polish there are MANY different types if you go to a automotive store such as lordco. they will have different levels of this, they start at around 600 cut ( direct relationship to how much they cut like sand paper ) A 600 cut will remove 600 grit scratches and so on, what you woould need would be a 1500+ to be safe ultrafina by 3m is very good and leaves a low swirl finish.
