Default What do you do about small rock chips on hood?

My wifes car is a everyday driver 07 pny and there is small chips in the paint on the hood that drives me crazy mad. I bought a small bottle of touch up paint from the dealer to touch it up. I did it a couple of times I quit because it looks like crap. I've never seen this many chips on one car with only 34k miles. Seems like every week I find a new chip about the size of a pin head. I've had two chips fixed on the windshild already, and we don't live on a dirt road.

I got this tip from my Mom & tried it & works pretty good..........
Get a crayon roughly the same color as your car & rub it over the chipped area until the wax fills it in, then rub off the excess around the area with a soft cloth. I've washed mine twice since doing it to the same type chips you're referring to & the wax is still there.

I have the same problem (2001 v6 electric green). My bumper looks awful. Good tip from Aquacop! I'll need to try it. I think I follow to closely and the streets in Tulsa are horrible.

It's those little bruises from someone hitting you car with their door that really piss me off. I swear I'm going to start carrying around a baseball bat and the next person that tags my car...

Has anyone tried a bra (for your car)? Do they work? Won't the uncovered paint fade and underneath not?

I just continue waxing and polishing ever so diligently, praying she will be protected.

I wanted one for my car but my does not like them. I'm starting to think that they were just a fad I don't see as many as I used to on any make.

... i would just recommend learning how to paint a lil since taking off the bumper is super easy and painting a bumper is even easier lol. but then again u'll need tools for that job which i dont have either... what i usually do is sand down my bumper take it off put it in my gfs car and take it to the local paint shop. if u have ur own paint which i recommend since all u need is ur color n clear coat. (u can use it as many times as u want... i do mine once a year) they only charge me 40 bucks and it turns out brand new. i havent done my hood yet but im sure its the same
