did you strip the wax off 1st? some dawn soap will help, just make sure to wash it all off.
an air compressor and your favorite fine scratch polish. hold the power buffer at a 45 degree and make long passes. dont press hard let the machien do the work.
on cool surface! you can always make more passes. then wipe clean and apply a nice coat of wax.

Swirl marks are a pain but if you have actual scratches (the kind you get in the clear coat, especially like around your door handle and such)........take a black crayon and color in the scratch area, letting the wax fill the scratch. Then buff off the excess with a soft cloth. I know it sounds way too simple, but I've done it on my Redfire and it does a better job of filling in those rock chipped areas and other light scratches than touch up paint.

Never heard this one before. Can not hurt giving it a try.
