Take a look around the pinned threads in this area... there truly is so, so much to read and gather here...

If you're just beginning... I found autozone/R & S to have a nice selection of affordable products... but dabble with a few ideas from the above threads... everyone has a different opinion on what to use... there are so so many products it could be scary.

I use poor boys trim restorer for my black trim, dash and plastic... I use a variety of optimum and obsessive detail products for the exterior... it's really a hodge podge of products I use because I pick and chose... I just sold a ton of stuff at my garage sale of things that didn't impress me...

Sorry I wasn't much help - but a lot of it is truly trial and error and most importantly, what works best for you and your car!

Welcome to AFM!!!

I Have used quite a few like armour all, maguires etc. for the interior and hated them all, from the smell to the greasy, artifical shine they caused.
I am currently using Turtle Wax total interior care and I love the stuff. It leaves the plastic and vinyl clean and natural looking.
The smell is great too, it's not overpowering and has a new car smell to it.
That is my commercial.

The key to a great shine is all in the prep work. First clay bar the car then poish to remove all swirls and scratches then top coat with wax/sealent of your choice. There are many good detail fourms you can read as well as the manufactuer web sites for tips. Whatever system you use I would use there whole system they are designed to work together until you get use to different products then you can mix and match. The care of your car after is just as important so you do not scratch the surface use two bucket cars wash method with there soap and top of the line towels. I think any wax will make a car look great as long as the prep is there so if you see a car that you like the way it shines go talk to them. I myself love Zaino

Default clay bar?

what is a clay bar?
My car is getting real dull. I guess the clear coat is baking. Is there anything that I can do other than a new paint job.
