Default Dribbling at the gas pump

How do you guys deal with the dribble at the end of a fill getting on your car paint? My other cars, I didn't care that much, but my mustang... I care. When it happened tonight, I got some clean paper towels from the window washing station and used a dab of the soapy water from that station to clean it off. What's something I can carry in my car that you think works good for you all. I'm thinking about carrying a rag in the bag to catch the dribble.

I'm just extra careful when I fill up the Stang as to not drip gas onto the paint. If I do, I just wipe it off with a rag. I've actually used gas to clean my Mustang, it works great on getting burnt rubber off the paint after running at the track. I then apply a good coating of wax wherever I use the gasoline.

I just let it sit there for a couple of seconds after I release the handle.

Well try not to top it off and squeeze in that extra 1/2 gallon. Then when you are finished let it sit for a second and when you pull it out turn the nozzle to the side and finally have it facing up so that whatever is left inside doesn't have the chance to run down since the nozzle is pointing up.

Thanks for the suggestions. I know it's kind of dumb, but I was worried about what the gas would do to the clear coat.

And no jokes about shaking your leg or wiggling? C'mon, I threw up a grapefruit there.

This happened to me a few times and I did the same thing you did with the towels. Now I just shake it out and let it sit for a while and carefully remove it.

I keep a small crate in the back of my car with microfibers, glass cleaner and instant detailer... wipe it... shoot it with detailer and wipe again... I do the same for bird presents...
