Question What cleaning products do you use on your rims?

I want to shine up my black DD bullitts and polish up that chrome lip.. Any ideas guys?? Lately i noticed a few minor imperfections on the lip and want to kind of get rid of them or make it less noticeable.

Any help would be appreciated.

You an use any of the Instant Detailing Sprays you use on your car's exterior.

I also use Meguiars Quik Wheel Detailer. It's spray on and wipe off.

Turtle Wax Ice Instat Detailer also keeps my chrome nice and shined up as well. Again just spray on and wipe off.

I just wanted to chime in and mention that if you have painted rims and are looking at using something other than soap and water - contact the manufacturer... because some of them come with specific warnings of what to use and what not to use....

I use soap and water and detailing spray like others - they come out beautiful!

1) I use the Meguiar's wheel cleaner that comes in a purple spray bottle. I love it and it works great. I clean the wheel with a gentle soft-tipped car wash brush.

2) I hose them down and go over it again with Meguiar's Gold Class car soap and water.

3) I dry them with a chamois.

4) I put Meguiar's yellow car wax on them, the same wax I use for my car. It serves three purposes; so they will be protected from brake dust, it makes them easier to clean the next time around, and it makes them really shine and be noticable.

I've been doing those steps since I got my wheels over a year ago and (minus the curb rash ) they still look brand new.

Adam's detail spray for a quick touch up, otherwise I use Adam's Metal Polish 1 followed by Adam's Metal Polish 2.
