What did they charge you if you don't mind me asking? I'm looking to paint my car also(to much touch up work, might as well repaint)
I thought I heard somewhere that you should wait 3-4 days. I could be wrong
well i dont plan on washing it in the first week just to be safe. wellits a good friend of mines shop he only chared 4000ish but he did all the small dents and dings, and some light body work.

Well I've seen your Stang pics and you one lucky guy!
Have fun with it
thanks you. ive been taking my time and restoring it the right way. it wasnt always as good looking as it is now. i got it 2 years ago after it had sat in the dessert for 4 years.
washing new paint will never hurt it but by all means wipe the water off or it will spot and that can be a pain the ass to get off. a general rule we use was wait for 90 days to wax, then when you wash it there after don't use dish washing soap it will strip the wax off the car. unless you want to take the wax off and start fresh again like some people do once a year

when i picked up my dodge truck from getting painted, the guy told me not to wash it for at least a week.(it was summer time)he told me not to wax it for at least a few months. the paint believe it or not is still really soft and will scratch easily until it fully cures. however if they put it in a hot room (a room with heat lamps) to cure the paint then you should be good. i doubt if they did, most shops dont invest in something like that. i would still wait a while before waxing just to be on the safe side
