Default Detailing help- powerball?

Just about time wax the ride, has anyone ever used the Mothers powerball for polishing rims and the powerball for applying polish and wax? I havn't has my ride for long and have only hand waxed it once. Any tips on the polishing? Also have any advice to keep stainless steel exhaust tips looking brand new? Thanks.

I'v used the powerball for my polished alum rims. Worked pretty good. When polished, you finhed off by wiping them down by hand to get all the polish off and get the final shine.

A little Pledge will help maintain that shine.

I haven't had the urge to buy the power ball... I am just really not sure that it does something my hands can't do... with all the stuff I have, why pull out a drill to polish my wheels? lololol

Anyway, if you get one, please post up how you like it! And a product review, if possible - that would be super helpful to all our members!

As for applying polish and wax - check over this area... take your time and review and research - there are tons of posts here about how to detail your car and which products and order to start your project....

Be sure to post pictures!!

I've used the power ball for years and it's great. If you have polished rims, you can make the shine in no time. I like to use anything that cuts down on the time.
Also use it on it exhaust tips too.

I have a friend who used the powerball and they seem to like it. I am like Judi why buy something when I can do it myself.

I use it with a battery powered drill motor. Gets the job done in no time. Does it do anything I can't do by hand? No, of course it doesn't. By hand will get you pretty much the same results. But the drill motor gets it done a lot faster and easier.

I also use air tools, electric drills, and electric saws. Could I do those jobs by hand? Sure, but Why?

I have not hand waxed my car since I started using the Powerball for paint about a year ago. I love that thing. I like it so much that I have 5 of them. Getting out the drill and using a Powerball is so much easier than doing the entire car by hand. You use the Powerball to apply the wax and wipe it off with microfibers like you would if you applied the wax by hand. It takes literally half the time to do with the Powerball and it will not scratch, etch, or create swirl marks in the paint.

Only downside to the Powerball that I have noticed is cleaning it. It is difficult to get all the wax out of. I have to use dish detergent to get the wax out of it. After that, I put it in the dryer.

I do not plan to ever wax my car again without using the Powerball. I can finish multiple coats of wax on my car in a few hours, versus several. I definitely recommend it.
