Ok i feel really dumb...I was backing out of my old single garage and I always just watch my side mirrors to get a feel of where I am when I'm backing out. Anyway, I was in a hurry and stupidly backed out a little too fast and my right sideview mirror bumped the side of the garage. Didn't hit it hard or anything, but it has a white paint scuff from the side of the garage on the black back of the mirror.
Please tell me there's some way to get it off!! need some help here
thanks guys (and or gals)

you might try some dishsoap and a soft brush. you dont want to use anything that will scratch or dull the plastic. if no luck, maybe try some toothpaste but try it underneath first. it might leave a dull spot. soft rag and vinyl cleaner might work good too. maybe some guys will have other ideas

You're going to think I am nuts... I am but that's besides the point...
Yesterday I washed the 07 and my husbands DD - and I set out to try a trick from this forum. Someone posted that they used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser instead of claybar to get rid of little black marks, scuffs, etc....
Saturday, while at a flea market someone scuffed my husbands DD bad enough there were several lines of white (off their vehicle), I was ticked!! So I decided to try the Mr. Clean Magic Eraser on the spots - and they came right off... I also tried it on several little black marks that have been on there a while - and they came right off... Two thumbs up to Mr. Clean!!
Nice cheap solution to try before buying more costly items!!
ok i'll try some soap and brush tonight, and then prob wd 40 and after that who knows lol

If it were painted, I'd suggest scratch remover or a light polish, but any polish may change the look of the matte finish on the black plastic. It may be your last resort, however.

what about a rubbing compound? Like turtle wax rubbing compound? My boss had a large white line and couple little ones on rear fender from bumping another car (don ask) but anyways someone on here suggested rubbing compound, and it worked. I'm not sure if rubbing compound will have a negative effect on your side mirrors plastic. I do no if you use to much of it on paint it will strip the clear coat. Good Luck to ya
