hey everyone. I have some engine gunk cleaner and i also have Simple green. I wanted to know how to Correctly clean my engine bay. Bc i dont want to use alot of water casuing the Alternator or any toher electronics to difuse or break.

I also have powdercoated valve covers and dont want to tarnish them with any serious cleaners either.

i have several degreaser like simple green, simple green being the weakest but very effective at the engine bay but use sparingly. Personally i only use spray bottles of simple green and a spray bottle of water and a soft bristle brush. This way the water goes where i want it to without getting all over the place with a hose. Just use a lot of elbow grease
I used the gunk cleaner it worked good but left my engin bay looking oily... i think if i go drive it ill get dust sticking to the oily seal it leaves on the engine bay. My friends wifes 03 cobra he jsut used simple green and then rinses it down lgihtely and uses a leaf blower or a compresor to dry it down. Ill have to try that out.
