My old man had a mishap in a corn field in MY CAR! So I decided instead of replacing the POS Xenon body kit, I would get a Saleen kit instead to save on the labor of adding the Xenon fascia to the front bumper cover. I found a deal at California Mustang for the whole Saleen kit for $1199. The description reads that it includes the front fascia, side skirts, and rear fascia.
My question is this, each picture I see of the Saleen rear fascia seems to have unique tailpipes that it needs, the description for the Saleen body kit makes no mention of tailpipes and every picture of a Mustang with a Saleen rear fascia has these specific tailpipes. Saleen Rear Fascia with Tailpipes
Where can I get these tailpipes and what can I expect to pay for them? I would prefer to use as much as my Dynomax Ultra-Flo catback kit as I can.

I'm assuming that it would only be the tips that would have to be added on, but I don't know exactly. Let me do some research later on and I'll see what I can turn up.
Well, the only thing I found was the Saleen Official Cat-Back system, part number 075-160 on thier website. The catch? $899.99 You might email them and ask if it is possible to use just the tails, and where you could get them.
Wow thanks for the research, I gotta say OUCH on that one! As if the $800+ price tag on the rear cover wasn't enough. I'd rather keep my Dynomax Ultra-Flos regardless of the price. If Saleen doesn't sell the tailpipes I can probably have them custom fab'd. Until I do that I'm going to have to have my tailpipes cut out and turndowns installed.

A lot of those look pretty good in the pictures but the S2000 look was meant for the 99+, not the 94-98. I'll go with the Saleen kit, probably an S351 wing too.

I have the full S351 kit w/ out the saleen stripes on the doors. It looks freaking awesome, you cannot go wrong with this kit, trust me. I would never get a mustang probably because they look so generic, but this kit adds so much aggressiveness and character. Friends always tell me they see me and you cannot confuse my car with the other black gt's around my town because mine has that much more character. I have the S351 wing and it looks great lookin in my mirror and seein the tip of the wing.
Sweet. I can't wait to get it back from the shop. 3 weeks is a long time to wait. Guess we'll have some twin stangs. What wheels do you have? I have the ugliest wheels ever that came with my car used, KMC Motions, 16x7. I'd like to get some 18x9 Chrome SVT Racing Wheels, I think that's what they're called. The wheels they had on the FR500.

ah, i dunno, I think mine are probably uglier ;\ I have stock GT rims-the ones that look like stars from far away (so dumb). The chrome plating is starting to come off if you look closely and ewww, I hate it. I want to get some 17x8 & 17x9 saleen replica wheels from eagle. I hear the real ones are expensive and I like the way the eagles look. I thought about cobra rims, but thats what every one gets. The body kit makes it look so much more aggressive though, too bad the vents are non functioning Another thing is, if you have fogs, they really clutter the saleen bumper, so.. I'm gonna get some tiny ones and mount them behind my billet grill (once I get one), so you won't be able to see them until they are on.
Hmm, custom tailpipes arent needed at all I think. most people tell me they like the way it looks in the back, I have the stock exhaust right now though so it looks kinda weak.. Besides for the fact that my pipes look all dull and brown and they look skinny, it looks fine, I am going to get single chamber flows or borla catback soon with some 3" tips, I know that will look awesome. My friend had 3.5" tips on his 96 gt and they look too big in my opinion.. other than that, the body kit takes care of everything.
hey adam ...check out my gallery...i got the saleen front and rear fascias and the S-351 rear wing i also have a flowmaster cat-back exhaust with ZERO clearance issues... im pretty sure just about ANY after market exhaust will fit heres the link to my gallery http://www.allfordmustangs.com/forum...r=3833&thumb=1

Thanks badass97gt, I've been looking through the members' galleries for pics like that. It gets boring searching through 40+ pages for pictures of just that. Thanks for showing me a cowl hood does not look bad with a Saleen fascia.
